A convenient ride-sharing app has officially launched in Montreal

Looking for a better way to explore Montreal? Discover an affordable and easy way to get around by requesting a ride with the Lyft app.

A convenient ride-sharing app has officially launched in Montreal

Getting from A to B (or, say, Atwater to Bernard) has just gotten easier with the launch of Lyft in Montreal—new riders can even start out with five half-price rides (max $10 per trip) right here.

Lyft is there whenever you need help getting around, whether you’re doing a big grocery shop at Segal’s Market or coming back from a late night at Le Salon Daomé. If you’re living the car-free life, or you just don’t want to deal with parking and traffic, Lyft is a convenient solution.

The Lyft app is easy to use. It connects you with local drivers for a smooth ride to wherever it is you’re heading. You can select the type of vehicle you want, like an XL ride with room for up to six people, or a hybrid or electric-powered Green ride. There’s also the option to schedule rides ahead of time, for trips like a journey to YUL to catch a flight or heading to an event at the SAT.

You can also share your ride details with trusted contacts who can track your ride and location in real time. Extra safety features, such as recording audio during your ride and scheduling an optional check-in from Lyft to confirm that you’ve reached your destination safely, are there for added peace of mind.

If you’re a new rider, you can save 50% off your first five rides, max $10 each ride, using the code MAIN50. Terms Apply. And after that, you can keep riding for less with Lyft’s “Wait & Save” option, which gets you a discounted ride if you’re willing to wait a little longer. Then again, if you’re in a rush, you can select Priority Pickup to get picked up as quickly as possible.
