Every March, somewhere between 500,000 people and what feels like the entire island descends on Downtown Montreal along De Maisonneuve Boulevard in green regalia.
Montreal's St. Patrick's Day Parade is the oldest of its kind in Canada and, by most measures, the second-largest in North America after New York's. This year marks the 201st edition, one year past the bicentennial, establishing a new chapter and a reason to party harder than ever.
The parade takes place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, starting approximately at noon at the corner of Fort and De Maisonneuve, winding east through downtown to Jeanne-Mance. It runs roughly three hours and is free and open to the public. Arrive early if you want a decent spot on the curb.
