If you ignore the slight chill that’s been settling into each evening and the earlier sunsets, it’s almost as if we’re in the midst of summer—and the city shows no sign of slowing down.
A 13.4 km stretch of the city transforms into a loop for droves of bikers, rodeos take over for a Western-themed weekend just north of the city, contemporary dance takes centre stage in Place des Arts, and a new design festival debuts with events across the city. Glance up to the sky on Friday night, and you might just see an army of lanterns ascending, while Saturday wraps up neighbourhood block parties, and Sunday concludes art, skating, and street-festival events.
On the food side, things are equally busy. A new gelato spot lands in Westmount. A fresh taverne opens on the Plateau, and familiar favourites mark their anniversaries with burlesque, cocktails, and end-of-summer BBQs.
