Aire Commune is in a bold new phase in Montreal’s public realm. This summer, Îlot 84 is debuting Espace solaire, the first permanently installed, solar‑powered public workspace at the Olympic Park—complete with Wi‑Fi, power outlets, shaded seating, and sustainable solar canopies. It joins the popular rotating trio of hubs—Station CF (now in its third season) and Esplanade Louvain—each designed around urban spontaneity and community connection.

Beyond physical spaces, Aire Commune continues programming that blurs the lines between workdays and unwind-time: free Tuesday‑noon yoga at Esplanade Louvain, evening DJ sets and concerts, and seasonal work‑ation packages downtown. Its summer footprint now spans across boroughs via the Îlots d’été network—over 40 green-desking cabins offering free outdoor workstations from May to October.

Aire Commune has evolved from Mile-End pop-up to city-scale placemaker: its blend of well-programmed public spaces and thoughtful community design solidifies its place in Montréal’s urban fabric.
