Full Room

Mathieu Leclerc was already a working designer at Studio Knowhow when he spotted a George Nelson chair for Herman Miller sitting on top of a pile of garbage on the sidewalk. That find, sometime before the pandemic, became the seed of Full Room: an online shop specializing in vintage and secondhand furniture and lighting by the designers worth knowing, from the 1960s to today. Leclerc sources, researches, and reconditions each piece himself, favouring objects with clear authorship and resolved design. The work feeds back into his practice in ways that are genuinely useful: taking things apart teaches you how they were put together.
