Harbin Dumpling

Opened by Yun Hai Li, who dreamed of bringing the food of his hometown to Montreal, and now run by JingHang Wang, this low-key spot on Saint-Laurent serves up boiled, steamed, or fried dumplings that actually deliver. Pork with coriander, pork and chives, lamb, shrimp—you’ll find all the classics here, generously portioned and reasonably priced. A plate of twelve runs between $9 and $16, with a few extras like fried mushrooms and seaweed salad rounding things out. No frills, no fuss—just a quiet corner of the Mile End where a good plate of dumplings does exactly what it’s supposed to.
