A European rotisserie machine that once lived at Toqué! and acquired at an auction spent the better part of a few years collecting dust in a garage. Now it's sitting at the centre of the kitchen at Cécile, anchoring a menu built on roasted meats, Acadian home cooking, and discreet applications of fine dining technique.
Opened on February 12, it's the newest addition to the constellation of spots spawned by Les Cavistes on Fleury Ouest that also includes the buvette Cerise. The space, previously housing a Frite Alors! location, is named after the Beauce hotelier and grandmother of co-owner Robert Herrera, Cécile Poulin—a tribute to post-war family tables and the women who kept them running.
