There’s a reason why this fashion runway’s out in the cold

It’ll be chill: ROYALMOUNT’s Urban Park is hosting seven Montreal-favourite brands and a live Milk & Bone set.

On October 23, ROYALMOUNT is turning its Urban Park into a fashion runway built for the colder temperatures, and one thing Montrealers care about as we approach the first frosts of the year and beyond: winter coats that look good and keep you comfy until April.

Eight brands—Boss, Mackage, Moose Knuckles, Rudsak, Quartz Co., Michael Kors, Sports Experts, and M/2 Boutiques—are unveiling their Fall & Winter collections in a complimentary outdoor fashion show at 7 p.m. Rennaï and Tom Ford join the runway with their own takes on fall and winter (minus the parkas), and the soundtrack will include a live performance by Milk & Bone followed by a DJ.

All of this clicks in a city where winter wardrobes are both survival gear and personal brand, where the right coat is a way to stand out in a crowd and outside. It won’t be uncomfortable for the crowd, either.

Pick an angle

ROYALMOUNT is offering three ways to watch the show, depending on how you want to experience it:

  • Elevated: Grab a spot on the terrasse of Le Fou Fou (second floor) for elevated views that are heated and seated over the runway. There, you'll be above it all—just keep in mind that it’s open to the public and first-come-first-served!
  • Immersive: Standing room only in the Urban Park, where you're close enough to see the details—the stitching, the cut, the way a coat moves.
  • Right in it: Reserve a table on the elevated Mexican terrasse of Balam, directly alongside the runway. A ROYALMOUNT spot inspired by Tulum and Mayan culture, this for those looking for dinner and a show—think smoked crema, mole manchamanteles, and a mezcal cocktail while someone in Mackage walks by three feet away.

Reservations for Balam are available here.

For when the cold creeps in

As the cold creeps in—and it will—this is your chance to see what's worth investing in before the first real snowfall hits and you panic-buy something you'll regret by December.

Only heavy hitters are on display, and you’ll get to see coats in motion, how they're built, and what winter style looks like this year.

Plus, there’s no charge! Four hours of parking included. And it's an excuse to make a full night of it without leaving a single spot.

The event is complimentary with RSVP. Register here.

ROYALMOUNT is accessible by metro (De la Savane station via the covered walkway), bike, or car.

The only real requirement? Show up ready to reconsider your current winter coat situation.

Only good things in your inbox.
