La Cantina (Kamouraska)

A seasonal open-air counter on avenue Morel in Kamouraska and part of the Côté Est ecosystem, La Cantina runs from late June through early fall without reservations, with a sprawling grounds and an unobstructed view of the St. Lawrence. The menu keeps it simple and shifts with supply: St. Lawrence seafood, Quebec oysters, a bolognese, a mushroom risotto, the odd sandwich or coquille Saint-Jacques, and at least one vegetarian option, all built around local producers including oyster farmers, St. Lawrence fishers, market gardeners, and forage mushroom suppliers from the surrounding Kamouraska region. Beer, wine, cocktails, and mocktails round out the offer. Blankets encouraged; dogs on leashes welcome.
