Thursday

• In a surprise twist, Saint-Henri's Léché Desserts will host its first ever 5 à 7. Drinks and doughnuts: What could go wrong?
• La Festival de la poésie de Montréal will run throughout the weekend with a series of artistic events in various venues across town.
• Retail gallery space Chaque Mois is throwing a launch party for its monthly rotation of local featured artists. Music + tattoos = a good time.

Friday

• Street food from Brazil will take centre stage for the first event of the 11th edition of the First Fridays at the Olympic stadium.
• Celebrate the sixth anniversary of Monopole, a small buvette located in Cité-Multimédia (between Old Montreal and Griffintown), from noon to 3 am. Expect lots of sauce.

Saturday

• The McCord Museum is inviting Hochelaga residents to visit the exhibition Hochelaga – Evolving Montreal for free with the artist Joannie Lafrenière. There are guided tours from 12 pm to 3 pm and a poetry reading from 1-2 pm.
• If you're up for a drive, Bolt Café in the lakeside town of Knowlton in Quebec's Eastern Townships will be hosting a summer pop-up in their backyard from 10 am to 5 pm.
• Similarly, the restaurant Passe-Montagne in neighbouring Frelighsburg is offering up sandwiches, vintage goods, and—get this—a 6-hole mini-putt tournament.
• If you dig the energy students bring to bars, celebrate the end of the term with them and the beginning of summer over at Riverside.

Sunday

• MIRACLE MILE (1988)'s apocalyptic end-of-the-world movie unlike anything you’ve ever seen will be screening at Concordia University's VA Building.
• End the weekend on a groovy notes: PIKNIC ÉLECTRONIK #4 is going down with two stages and three DJs each.
• If you love Django Reinhardt, Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill's festival devoted to the guitarist's distinctive style is kicking off.
