Le Cathcart

Le Cathcart is a food court, but not in the traditional sense: it’s what happens when downtown real estate, hospitality groups, and a long list of local operators all agree to share the same room. Set beneath a glass pavilion of Place Ville-Marie, the 35,000-square-foot space brings together a dozen counters and a central biergarten under one light-filled ceiling.

The lineup leans local: Arthurs revisits Jewish comfort food, HÀ carries its Vietnamese-Lao mix, Omnivore handles Lebanese staples, while others move between pizza, poke, sandwiches, and salads. At the centre, the biergarten anchors everything with Quebec microbrews, wine, and cocktails, and doubles as an event space. It’s busiest when the workday ends, when the place shifts from lunch hub to after-hours meeting point.
