Iru Izakaya (Quartier des Spectacles)

Iru Izakaya brings Tokyo’s after-dark energy to Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles. The third outpost of the brand (after Brossard and Sainte-Foy), it captures the izakaya spirit with neon signage, communal seating, and a menu designed for sharing. Small plates range from karaage chicken, pork belly skewers, and beef tongue to oysters, sashimi, and sushi tacos. Heartier options include ramen, stir-fried noodles, and kimchi fried rice, while the Carte blanche tasting menus let the kitchen set the pace. Drinks are as playful as the setting, with sake alongside cocktails built on Japanese whisky, ube, yuzu, and shiso. Equal parts brasserie and late-night playground, Iru Izakaya turns dinner into a full Tokyo-style experience.
