Local organization Corridor Culturel just announced "Les Machines", a unique musical event set to take place on the Lachine Canal from May 1 to 29.
The event, presented in partnership with Parks Canada and Le Monde Studio, creates an opportunity to showcase Montreal's cultural heritage and enhance the value of Montreal's southwestern neighbourhoods as the birthplace of jazz in Canada.
The highlight of the month-long event will be an exclusive showcase on May 14 from 2-6 pm at Hangar 1825, featuring four artists representing the diversity and up-and-coming talent of the local music scene: Gayance, MODLEE, Naïma Frank, and Olivia Khoury, who will share their perspectives on the impact of jazz and transmit this musical heritage in a contemporary and captivating way.
