Iru Izakaya (Brossard)

The Brossard outpost of Iru Izakaya was the brand’s first step outside Quebec City and set the tone for what the group does best: lively, neon-lit Japanese pub culture transplanted into a suburban setting. Located at Quartier DIX30, the space carries the same energy as its Montreal sibling, with glowing signage, communal tables, and a bar built for long nights. The menu covers izakaya staples—crispy karaage, grilled skewers, sashimi, ramen, and fried rice—alongside playful touches like sushi tacos and chef’s tasting menus for those who want to hand over the reins. It’s a spot that feels more like a Tokyo side street than a shopping complex, and that contrast is part of its charm.
