The corner of Prince Arthur and Saint-Laurent in the Plateau just lost a nightclub, but it may not need another one any time soon. The strip does its thing on Friday and Saturday with loud, busy nights with 2 a.m. crowds. What it could use, and what it's been quietly missing, is somewhere worth coming back to. That's the bet Renaud Lambert and his partners are making with Prince Pub, now open in the former Suwu space.
The project brings together a big team—Peter Mant, Victor Collette, Philippe Allard, Kasra Ghaffari, and Jasper Shaza—alongside executive chef Pierre Morneau (Miracolo, Cadet), and Jonathan Homier heading the bar program. The goal, as Lambert puts it, is to offer a Montreal pub built around the things they'd actually want to eat and drink themselves.
